Enrolment & Re-enrolment Procedures

Welcome to Oak International School! We’re excited to guide you through our admissions process. Whether you are a new family or returning parent, our goal is to make enrollment simple, transparent, and accessible, all from the comfort of your home.

Admission Timeline

Admission for the next academic year opens each march. Each applicant is considered holistically, based on:

  • Report cards of Last two classes attended
  • Entrance test scores in English and Mathematics; Français and Mathematiques
  • Educmaster Number (As it applies)

Step 1: Entrance Test Registration

All students seeking admission to Oak International School Benin (OIS Benin) must first complete the entrance test process. This assessment helps us evaluate the student’s academic readiness before admission is confirmed.

For applicants to Grades 1–8, the process is as follows:

  • Register for the entrance test
  • Pay a non-refundable entrance test fee of 20,000 FCFA
  • The student will take an entrance test in the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Français and Mathématiques.

Step 2: Entrance Test Evaluation

After completing the registration and payment, applicants must sit for the entrance test. This assessment allows the school to evaluate the student’s academic readiness.

  • Parents should ensure that the child arrives on time on the selected test date.

Entrance tests are organized three times a year to provide flexibility for families:

– 21st March 2026

– 18th April 2026

After the test, parents will be contacted regarding the next steps in the admission process.

Step 3: Parents - Students Interview

After the entrance test, parents are invited to a meeting with the school to discuss the student’s results and ensure the best support for the child’s learning journey.

  • Attendance of both parents is mandatory for this meeting with the school administration.
  • The meeting provides an opportunity to review and discuss the child’s entrance test results.
  • Parents can also share important information about the child’s learning needs, strengths, or any special support requirements.
  • This discussion helps the school and parents work together to ensure the best placement and support for the student at OIS Benin.

Step 4: Admission Decision

After the entrance test and the parent–school interview, the final admission decision is communicated to families.

  • Parents will be informed of their child’s admission decision by email.

  • Students who are accepted will be placed in the appropriate grade level.

  • Placement is determined based on the child’s age during the calendar year when classes begin and the results of the entrance test.

This process ensures that each student is placed in the grade where they can learn, grow, and succeed academically at OIS Benin.

Step 5: Complete the Online Enrollment Form and Pay School Fees
